    Features some Spanish in every issue.
    Circulation 16,500. Door to door to households: 12,400. To offices and stores: 3,800.
Paid subscriptions: 150. For advertisers and files: 150.
    Published 25 Fridays per year, every other Friday. Exceptions are end of July and end of December when two Fridays are skipped between issues. See publishing calendar.
    Averages 16-28 pages long in tabloid format.
    Independent, locally owned.

    Office located just off the main business area in Jamaica Plain. Office is open
Monday-Friday, 9-5. Many days someone is in 8-7. Office closed for most holidays. Drop box available on front porch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    Gazette Publications, Inc. also publishes the Mission Hill Gazette.

    Gazette Publications, Inc. is a member of the Jamaica Plain Business and Professional Association, the New England Press Association and Free Community Papers of New England.
 
Contents
    The Jamaica Plain Gazette publishes information about Jamaica Plain and its residents. News runs the gamut in JP, with residents facing transportation, housing, green space, youth sports, youth activities, senior sections, arts and many other issues every year.
    The Gazette does objective reporting, not advocacy journalism. People's opinions are included in quotations in news stories and letters to the editor.

Staff
    The Gazette has a staff of eight full- and part-time people, including advertising sales and billing, administration, editorial, production and graphic arts staff.
    The Gazette sometimes uses free-lance reporters to cover stories. In addition, the Gazette is frequently fortunate to have interns from local high schools and colleges.

        El periódico tiene personal de planta y de tiempo parcial que se ocupa de las diferentes labores editoriales, de venta, cobranzas, de publicidad, de admnistración, de producción, de artes gráficas y de otras relacionadas con el funcionamiento de la oficina.
        De acuerdo a las necesidades informativas se utilizan, a veces, reporteros independientes. También apoyamos a escuelas y universidades con en el entrenamiento de estudiantes o en sus prácticas.
